The Prime Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia had to break off a visit to the Moria refugee camp on Lesbos and then said:
„The whole European Union must perceive this situation“.
At the urging of Greek security officials, NRW Prime Minister Armin Laschet was forced to cancel early his visit to the Moria refugee camp on the island of Lesbos last week Tuesday.
The CDU politician was shocked by the conditions in the camp, in which almost 15,000 refugees have been staying for months. The camp is designed for less than 3000 people.
