Brexit negotiation round between the EU and the UK ended prematurely – Brexit explained

Today I want to give you some comments on the sudden early end of last weeks negotiations between the EU and the UK on the future relations.

The EU and the UK ended their latest round of negotiations on a trade agreement a day earlier than planned and to no avail.

„After four days of discussion, serious differences of opinion still remain,“ EU chief negotiator Michel Barnier said afterwards.

Barnier recalled that an intensification of the talks had been agreed at a top meeting two weeks ago.
